In honor of National Diabetes Awareness Month, I have been searching for diabetes related poetry on other people's blog's and website. This poem really rang true with me because I feel like I have gone through many of the stages outlined in the poem. Because of the amazing people I've met, the groups I've joined, and the other experiences I've had, I have become more open with my Diabetes. I'm excited to be able to perform it in class, in hopes to bring awareness of Diabetes to more people during this month of November.
